The royal fort in Bharatpur, belonging to the royal family is known as the Lohagarh fort.Among the Jaats, it was only the Sinsinwars blood, known as Lohagarh, that established an empire undefeated by the Mughals and the Marathas. Being so closely knit to royalty, Mr. Bhagat Singh Lohagarh has been able to do justice to the theme of the resort where every nook of the place feels like a kingdom.It is not just the creator of this place that has got historical roots, the land itself on which this resort is developed holds an interesting mythical background which makes it even more distinctive. According to a Rajpurohit. 300 years ago, as per the Hindu traditions, for the wellbeing and good fate of then king’s daughter, a people and a banyan tree were tied in marriage, as it is considered to be propitious.The 300-year-old couple, oldest in Rajasthan, of the banyan and people tree still exists and prospers on our property with great health and humongous roots. According to the forest department, trees this old and with such roots, it is one in a kind and cannot be seen in Rajasthan. The trees add to the environment in a spiritual manner and spread positivity which can be felt patently.As much this place is apt for a holiday, its architecture and planning make it ideal for weddings too. The essence of royalty that this place provides is absolutely consummate and exquisite. With its impeccable planning, the nooks and corners of this estate have been constructed and renovated to fulfil the traditions and needs of a proper conventional marriage to make it even more auspicious.The estate starts with the MUKHYA DWAR, equipped with jharokhas and chhatris, surrounding the entire place with a 22feet high boundary wall, keeping security on priority.As per the Hindu traditions, the KUMHER DWAR, between two JANWASAS, is the main entry point for the entry of the baraat and for its customs like Banayi and Chadhayi.Keeping Security of the barat and protecting it from road nuisance and accidents was kept in mind before construction, not seen in any other resort, Lohagarh fort provides complete security and privacy to the baraat from the Mukhya Dwar to the Kumher Dwar.There are two JANWASAS.KISHORI MAHAL for ladies, well equipped with air conditioners and restroom, and KHAS MAHAL for men.The SEHRA CHATRI for Sehra Bandhayi, just outside to the main entry point, the Kumher gate, but inside the premises, the Mukhya Dwar.The distance between the MUKHYA DWAR and the KUMHER GATE is called the SHAHI ROAD of 300m. The main reason for its construction, as told before, is security and is apt for baraat Chadhayi.Just inside the Dwar is BARADARI where guests can sit and enjoy the Baraat. It is also called the VIP lounge.
