Dinning
The Sakala Beach Club is probably the most iconic venue in our resort, and it’s a favorite destination for our guests and visitors due to its unique architecture with towers, chic urban vibe, and delicious food and beverages served in style. You can watch adventurous watersports or the local kids playing football on the beach while having a refreshing coconut drink in the swim-up bar of our infinity pool with stunning Indian ocean views. On a clear day, you can see the island of Nusa Penida right before you. You can directly access one of Bali’s widest stretches of sand from the Sakala Beach Club. You can walk for several kilometers without interruption across the peninsula of Tanjung Benoa while experiencing the less touristic Bali village life.
Featuring stunning stone walls, beautiful wood paneling, signature wine walls, and a choice of indoor and outdoor seating, this chic, modern, poolside restaurant opens early in the morning. Our lavish buffet breakfast offers a wide selection of dishes for every taste with a “farm-to-table” philosophy with fresh, local ingredients prepared by classically-trained Balinese chefs. Start your day energized with our choices from the live-cooking stations (pro-tip: Ms. Komang makes the best cooked-to-order eggs in town), waffles & crêpes, homemade pastries, tropical fruits, fresh juices, machine-made coffees, and a wide variety of Western, Asian and local Balinese choices that regularly rotate to make your breakfast one of the most enjoyable times of the day.
Many of our guests spend time unwinding in our Lagoon Pool Bar and having a friendly conversations with our barman or other guests. There is nothing more refreshing than experiencing the unique feeling of swimming in our massive pool and arriving directly into a bar serving fruit shakes, beers, refreshing cocktails, or ice cream.
Samuh Beach House is our exclusive and private newest eat & drink addition, located in Nusa Dua at only 5-minutes away from our Resort served by our free scheduled daily shuttle. Equipped with cabanas and relaxing long deck chairs overlooking the ocean, guests are also able to walk over to the shack bar that serves a variety of light foods and beverages. Contrasting with the energetic water sports-centric Tanjung Benoa beach adjacent to our resort, Samuh Beach offers the alternative—a serene ambiance where you are able to swim, snorkel, and frolic in the crystal blue waters of the ocean.
We may be biased, but we believe our Lounge and Lobby are simply spectacular with their ambiance “gamelan” music, and a variety of seating arrangements, from barstools to sofas and solid wooden chairs overlooking the fire torches in our lobby ponds. Vindicating the best of Bali traditions, we offer not only a variety of international cocktails, wines, or coffees but also our signature “Arak” – based drinks, a locally produced fermented alcoholic drink from the coconut palm tree, known for its “kick” but also health benefits.
After a day in the Bali sun, sometimes all you want is a quiet dinner and a movie in the comfort of your suite or villa. The Sakala Resort Bali’s comforting cuisine, from Asian noodles to fresh made Mediterranean pastas, fresh caught seafood and creative pizzas, can be delivered to your room anytime you like.
Born amid the island’s rich culture and abundance of fresh produce, we created The Terrace as an ode to our love for Indonesia’s vibrant food and age-old Balinese customs. In Bali, other than its rich spices and vibrant flavors, the art of coming together to dine is also a form of love and friendship that dates back to its earliest days, called Megibung.
