Shreya and Prashant, Jaipur
A Kanpur style wedding for this couple in the heart of the pink city was a colorful affair.

Shreya and Prashant hosted their Jaipur wedding in full Kanpur style with the help of WeddingSutra Favorite – Fiestro Events, who helped design a dream wedding for the couple and their guests by planning an incredible event with detailed meticulous execution of all the functions. WeddingSutra Favorite – Infinite Memories, were able to capture all the fun elements of their wedding with the lens, making sure to bring out the genuine and candid emotions behind each frame..

How They Met

Shreya recalls, “Most of the traditional Indian weddings are done through an arranged marriage set up where parents play a significant role. Even though our meeting was done through a similar set-up, the two of us felt deeply connected from the day we first spoke to each other. Our eyes met, sparks flew, and here we are now, happy and married.”

Wedding plan

“We chose Fiestro Events as our wedding planner, and their talented team helped in making our dream wedding memorable. Right from the wedding location selection to the artists and the photographer, their team organized each aspect of our wedding. Infinite Memories were very good with their choice of backgrounds and frames so we didn’t have to waste a lot of time looking for a perfect spot to shoot while our wedding functions were going on. Their team was very prompt and had a good eye for detail”, shares the happy bride

For the planning and decor, Fiestro Events led at the helm and orchestrated a wedding that left many of the guests who were attending an Indian wedding for the first time in awe. With seamless planning and tasteful decor choices that matched the couple’s vision, each function was a smashing success. Adding to the team was makeup artist Ridhi Verma giving the bride one stunning look after the other.

Weddings Functions
Pool Party

Their pool party was a Hua Hin themed party with lots of blue-draped cabana-style seating with their wedding hashtag LED design decorated near the entrance. As soon as DJ Sahil began to drop the beat, the guests high on energy jumped into the pool to kick-start the party. It was a relaxed event with all the guests checking in the hotel and taking a dip in the pool

Engagement

The engagement venue was decorated with white and blue roses with elements of silver in it such as disco balls and streamers that made the place look nothing less than a fancy Bollywood party. The entrance was decorated with dim lights, whereas the inside took the guests into a trance with its colorful lights. Shreya shares, “My favorite part of the engagement was our grand entrance to the venue where we walked in with our arms locked dancing with our friends and wearing reflective shades. As soon as we went up to the stage, I went down on one knee and put the ring on Prashant’s hand.” Soon after the ring ceremony, Sandeep Thakur, a renowned violinist, made the guests shake a leg to his rhythmic tunes. The bride and the groom stole the limelight wearing an embellished off-white gown and black tuxedo with sequins work.

Haldi and Sainth

The venue for the haldi function was decorated with colorful tassels, straw lamps and circular frames. Rajasthani puppet dolls were hung near the entrance to add a Rajasthani touch. Elements like gold-painted earthen pots with marigolds pouring out to resemble flowing water along with lots of flowers and greens completed the decor. Special dhol walas were hired who got all the guests to shake a leg to their beats. The bride looked stunning in a hot pink and orange lehenga while the groom color-coordinated with her in an orange kurta and a white jacket.

Wedding and Reception

In keeping with the location of Jaipur, the couple chose a ‘Royal’ theme for the wedding. The mandap was decorated with red and white flowers and also had reflective orange lights to brighten the entire venue. Flowers and candelabras added a beautiful look to the function. Special paan stalls gave a true Kanpur essence and was the highlight of this function. Post the pheras, Bolly Jammers set the mood for the evening with their fantastic music. Shreya looked beautiful in a red lehenga while Prashant gave her a tough competition in a white sherwani with red stole and headgear. Ace makeup artist Kajol R Paswwan gave the bride a dramatic look with golden glitter lids and oodles of mascara to highlight her doe-shaped eyes. A delicious ruby-red pout completed her look.

Advice for Couples

“Take a moment to enjoy all the festivities and set aside the perfectionist in you. Everything works out smoothly in the end when you keep your gaze focused on the bigger picture.”, advises Priya.

1. “Maintain a wedding diary with all your plans, details, and set weekly targets.

2. Plan a budget for the different aspects beforehand..

3. Invest in trusted and talented photographers as the memories of your big day last forever..

4. Start coordinating for the dance performances at least 3 months in advance so that everyone has enough time to prepare and you have flawless performances.

5. Go for an outfit that’s not only comfortable but also suits your personal style.

6.Most importantly, do not stress and enjoy the entire experience. When the anxiety escalates, remember that it is your day, and don’t let anything put you down.“.
